aiko's Another World Creation&Expression

" Portraits of myself, wearing a kimono."
This cloth is called "furisode"(a kind of kimono) in Japanese. In Japan,it's worn by unmarried women on ceremonial occasions. My father took this in our house at Janyary 3,1996 as commemoration of coming-of age celebration.

Incidentally ,this room, flower arrangement and picture are Japanese style.(called "tokonoma","ikebana",kakejiku" in Japanese.)

Pay attention to the "obi"!

Obi is a long, narrow piece of cloth for tying kimono.
There are many kinds of ways to tie kimono.
