First trip of the season. What made this different was the fact that it was just Chizuko and I without Travus. We decided it would be good to get one trip in with just the two of us, as we had yet to spend more than 24 hours on our own since Travus' birth. Chizuko's Mom, Dad, and brother were more than happy to take care of Travus over the weekend (so much that if our flight was cancelled and we remained in Tokyo over the weekend, they still weren't going to let us see Travus!). Base was pretty low with only about 100cm at the bottom, and 150cm at the top. That didn't stop us from getting some *great* powder both days; albeit with some extra grass and twigs to deal with out of bounds!
