
The new Counseling,
Psychotherapy and Support in Tokyo Japan Newsletter has
been launched and now includes news, articles, conference information,
essays and media reports on mental health care, psychology and counseling
services in Tokyo and Japan.

Link to information about the World Psychiatric Association (WPA)
conference added to Japanese
and World Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counseling Societies and
Associations. The XIIth World Congress of Psychiatry 2002
was held in Japan in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, very near to
the Tokyo Metropolis.

Many thanks to all of you who have, from both near and so far, sent
in your ideas and suggestions of your favourite books, CDs, videos
and DVDs for possible inclusion in the Support in Tokyo Japan online

language bookstores and the
Japanese language bookstore sections. New books and guides
sections added to all Japanese and English bookstores. New 'aisles'
to be found in each store including "Enjoying Life in Tokyo",
"Japanese Culture and Society", and "Japan Living
and Travel Guide Books".
American and British Amazon Bookstore affiliate programs
added to provide a selection of Japan related books in English and
Japanese on Health, Japanese Language, Life in Japan, and Psychology
for all people living in the Tokyo Community and Japan. Lists books
and other resources related to living and traveling in Japan, studying
Japanese, culture and society, psychology, widely used psychotherapy
and counseling modalities in Japan, current information relating
to mental health issues in Japan including stress and anxiety management,
social isolation, depression, abuse, trauma and PTSD.

An Amazon Books Affiliate, Japan online
bookstore has been added to the new main
page on the Japanese version of this site. This has
been made to provide access to current books available in Japanese
related to counseling, psychology and mental health, as well as
the authorized text to help people find a JSCCP approved counseling
center, and also the most recent edition of 'Rinshoushinrishi ni
naru tame ni', the standard text published annually to help candidates
prepare for the annual examination of the Foundation of the Japanese
Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists.

This site received the Mental Health Net Three Star Award.

page updated and redesigned and a new revised section on working
as a qualified counselor, therapist certified clinical psychologist
in Japan has been added and revised to include links to new resources
for counseling and psychology students.
