4th Congress of the Japanese Federation of Psychotherapy, the 2nd Symposium of the Japan Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and a Q&A essay on Hikikomori.

The new Counseling, Psychotherapy and Support in Tokyo Japan Newsletter has been launched and now includes news, articles, conference information, essays and media reports on mental health care, psychology and counseling services in Tokyo and Japan.

Link to information about the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) conference added to Japanese and World Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counseling Societies and Associations. The XIIth World Congress of Psychiatry 2002 was held in Japan in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, very near to the Tokyo Metropolis.

Lists books and other resources related to living and traveling in Japan, studying Japanese, culture and society, psychology, widely used psychotherapy and counseling modalities in Japan, current information relating to mental health issues in Japan including stress and anxiety management, social isolation, depression, abuse, trauma and PTSD.

An Amazon Books Affiliate, Japan online bookstore has been added to the new main page on the Japanese version of this site. This has been made to provide access to current books available in Japanese related to counseling, psychology and mental health, as well as the authorized text to help people find a JSCCP approved counseling center, and also the most recent edition of 'Rinshoushinrishi ni naru tame ni', the standard text published annually to help candidates prepare for the annual examination of the Foundation of the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists.

Have added a free (and naturally completely confidential) Counseling and Support in Japan Mailing List on the main page (English version) for anyone who would like to receive a periodic email giving information on any changes, updates, new support links and other additions to this site.

All links on Me & My Colleagues page updated to reflect the new layout and updated English speaking counselor, clinical psychologist and therapist staff profiles at the Ikebukuro Counseling Center web site.

The Scarlet Rose page redesigned and updated, including new essays and graphic designs.

Counseling Centers and Clinics in Japan, Counseling Related Homepages have been opened and I'm in the process of searching for the relatively few clinics, centers and hospitals online here which as yet also have pages (or offer counseling and medical services) in other languages. Please feel free to write and tell me about any you know Suggestions are always welcome.
