Many thanks to all the people interested in counseling
and therapy in Japan, studying psychology and psychotherapy inside
or outside Japan, counseling in Japan or counseling people from Japan
in other countries who sent in mail during the early days of this
homepage.
Your comments and questions provided the inspiration to create the
"Counseling in Tokyo and Japan: Today and Tomorrow" news,
information and community discussion message board and many thanks
also to everyone whose inquiries and participation contributed to
its success since its inception in April 1998 until its conclusion
on 31st March, 2000. From the insight provided by both the range of
your ideas and inquiries in the messages posted and the response to
those messages, it was possible to tell with more precision as to
exactly what kind of information about counselling in Japan people
need and are interested in knowing more about.
The "Counseling and Support in Tokyo and Japan" web site
has now been redesigned and will be continuously updated to reflect
and hopefully provide some answers to many of the questions, comments
and inquiries you have about psychotherapy, psychological and social
support, counseling center and Japanese mental health care services
and online and other community support resources for all people living
in Tokyo and Japan.
As always your questions, suggestions and ideas are always welcome
and many of the contributions previously found in the original "Today
and Tomorrow" section have already been incorporated into other
pages on this site and in particular have been incorporated and updated
