Creating a large corpus from several small files: Importing documents in CONC 1.80

We can create a large corpus by creating a single file from a number of smaller ones without having to import each one separately, as long as all of the smaller files are in the same folder.

1. From the FILE menu, select "New".

2. Click once on the folder containing your files, and then read step 3 below.

3. Make sure "Auto-Insert Sections" is NOT checked; we do not need it with the Asahi_1 files. Click the "Select" button, as shown in the picture above.

4. You'll now have a single file containing all of the smaller files in the "asahi_1" folder. Now make your concordance again, as you did before, from Step 3 in the "Setting Up Conc" page.
