Nima-san of Nimanak Travel is arranging our flights. The cost of the flight will be 52,000 yen + taxes (39,000 yen + taxes for children 11 yrs. and under). Parents: Swimmers that are planning to travel unaccompanied by parents should contact Coach Moodie as soon as possible so reservations can be made.  ACCOMODATIONS: 

Swimmers and their families are free to make their own hotel arrangements. The coaches and unaccompanied swimmers will be staying at the Pacific Islands Club. The cost of the rooms are $100/ night + 11% tax.

This is to provide some general information regarding the Guam International Swim Meet on December 21, 22 and 23.

     GUAM INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONAL SWIM MEET: 

POOL SITE:     Hagatna Swimming Pool, Hagatna, Guam 

COURSE:         LONG COURSE, 50 meter, 8 LANES 

Friday, December 21st

Session 1    Warm-up:        3:30 p.m., Meet Starts:  5:00 p.m.

                        Check-in Sheets (including scratches) due to Clerk of Course by 4:00pm 

Saturday December 22nd

Session 2    Warm-up:        8:00 a.m., Meet Starts:  9:00 a.m.

                        Check-in Sheets (including scratches) due to Clerk of Course by 6:30pm Fri 21 Dec. 

Session 3    Warm-up:        3:00 p.m., Meet Starts:  4:00 p.m.

                        Check-in Sheets (including scratches) due to Clerk of Course by 10:30am Sat 22 Dec. 

Sunday December 23rd              Ocean Swim at Tumon Bay

Approximate start time is 9:00am from Ypao Beach. Course/distance will vary depending on age group. Further details forthcoming. 

WARM-UP:      Teams will be assigned lanes by Meet Director. Pool will be cleared 15 minutes prior to session commencement. Swimmers must have a deck coach to participate in Warm-up. During the meet a cool down/warm up lane will be on an “as available” basis. 

DIVISION:      Age groups:  8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, Open 

RULES:            Current FINA Swimming Rules will govern the meet.  

ENTRY FEES:   USD $5.00 per individual event and $7.00 for relays                                                

ENTRIES:         8 & under: 6 individual and 2 relays

                           9 & over:  8 individual and 2 relays 

DEADLINE:     Entries must be received no later than Friday December 14th   (7 days prior the meet). No late entries will be accepted at the meet.

AWARDS:        Individual medals will be awarded first through third and award ribbons will be given for fourth through eighth place in each age group, gender and event. Relay medals will be awarded first through third by age group gender and event.
