Donate A Car - This morning, in anticipation of this article, we visited the Good Samaritan homeless shelter. The Good Samaritan homeless shelter is a huge operation in a major city in North America. IN any event, we wanted to see how important the process of a person electing to donate a car is to the Good Samaritan homeless shelter. By looking at Good Samaritan, we believed we could obtain a general idea of how important a person taking the initiative to donate a car really is at this point in time.
Many, many charities like Good Samaritan, we were told, are desperately in need of vehicles to assist with their operations. “plus, if we cannot use the vehicle directly ourselves, we are able to take the vehicle that is given to us as part of a donate a car program and either resell it or work with another company to sell the parts. In any care, the donate a car is extremely important to us and beneficial to our clients,” the assistant director of the charity explained when considering the donate a car program.
More and more charities are turning to donate a car to assist with their transportation needs and with their overall fundraising campaigns. “really, it is a development…the donate a car campaign deal…it is a development of recent origin,” the assistant director added. “i’d guess that the donate a car concept really has taken root within the past eight or nine years.”
Indeed, there are now not-for-profit organizations set up for the sole purpose of accepting vehicles through a donate a car program which in turn are sold. The proceeds from these sales are then donated to other charities operating in the community.
While the donate a car program has not reached every country in the world, it is expanding geographically at a rapid rate.
