Dear potential sponsor,
Japan has earned its international reputation as one of the world's most voracious consumers of wildlife, but you may be pleased to know that some professional Japanese are focusing their skills and diligence on rectifying this sad, and unnecessary situation.
It is possible that you may have heard of the Japan Wildlife Conservation Society in the context of lobbying actions and the dissemination of information at CITES conventions, or from their information campaigns and environmental education events in Japan, but if not, I hope that this letter will serve as a good introduction to the most active and efficient wildlife conservation group in Japan. JWCS is the only independent citizens group to challenge and change government policy regarding wildlife conservation at home and abroad, and for all their small membership they have achieved a great deal so far and hope to achieve a lot more with the support of like-minded organizations and individuals like you. I hope that you will read on and regard their fund-raising application favorably. From my impartial viewpoint, as one who has been involved twelve years in Japanese wildlife conservation and environmental work, there is no other Japanese group as effective and persistant in the defence of wildlife as JWCS.
Sincerely yours,
Charles Paxton
