Kimberly

Christmas at Jigokudani, Nagano. Japanese Alps.

My wife!

Kim took a break from keeping all the planes in flight to join me for Thanksgiving.

Kim in Tokyu Square recovering from a minimalist pizza

and the eerie spectacle of some upside-down Christmas trees.

My first generation digital camera fails to do her any justice.

Kim and I at Ukai Toriyama for a Japanese Thanksgiving dinner.

This more than made up for lunch.Neither of us actually looked this unhealthy,

blotchy and pixelated. We actually looked rather nice.

Kim stands by an enormous lantern in a very pretty garden.

She was pretty, the garden was pretty, even the lantern is woefully misrepresented here.

This cook's family probably wouldn't recognize him from the picture either.

His lightly salted grilled Ayu fish tasted very delicate though.

The red leaves were at their very best. They didn't look much like these at all.
