Use some of these ideas to persuade
your audience.
E.g. " I am not saying people should never wear high-soled boots , just that we need to be sensible about when and where we wear them. We shouldn't wear them if we plan to drive a car or ride a bike, nor if we may have to move quickly through crowded areas."
E.g. " On the one hand there is the question of safety for the wearer, on the other, there is the question of these clumsy boots infringing the rights of others."
(This sounds like a balanced viewpoint, but both points are damning high-soled boots. Note the use of a negative adjective before the noun)
E.g. Wouldn't it be better if we left our high soled boots at home?
