English A. Speaking and Listening

Course Description

This course will give you an opportunity to improve your speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. Classwork will focus on contemporary legal, social, political, and economic issues. Activities will include discussions, presentations, outlining and summarizing information, short essays, pair-work, small group and individual work. You will further developskills of gathering, understanding and critically analyzing information, as well as build your confidence in speaking and listening.

Attendance of 80% or more, active participation in class activities and weekly preparation outside class are required to pass this course. No Japanese will be used in class. Students are encouraged to use my website.
