Course Description

In this course, you will learn to combine sentences, write well-organised paragraphs, and compose short essays, so that you can express yourself clearly and confidently in English. From writing about your own experiences and opinions, summary writing, and note-taking, you will move towards completing a short research report by the end of the course. Class activities will include brainstorming and discussion, and responding to others' writing, so that you develop and revise your own work. Attendance of 80% or more, active participation in class activities, and weekly preparation outside class are necessary to pass this course.
