  Cherries
 In the Spring, mountain cherries, weeping cherries, and several other species of blooming cherry tree adorn the ancient shrines and temples along this route.

  Cosmos
 In the Fall, cosmos flowers run rampant along the borders intersticing fields, and in fields lain fallow during the season. So plentiful are they, that they are called the "cherries of Fall".
