We get out the hats for the birthday outfits.
We went out to American Flatbread where Marin works for
Cassie's birthday dinner. As you walk in you see some of
Marin's handiwork. The map with all of this week's featured
farmers and the vegetarian special. Note the type of
mushrooms!!
Cassie was quite the fashion maven in her hat and smocked
dress that my grandmother Adeline made for me!
Takumi was also quite the sight in his seersucker jumpsuit
from Clari.
Marin tells Cassie that there are meatballs on the way.
Cassie LOVES meatballs.

Cassie was so excited that "Everybody sing for me!"
On the morning of her birthday she was a little tired.
She did enjoy another round of "Happy Birthday" and blowing
out her candles - not to mention eating her birthday
cruller.

Probably the most exciting present for them were the
calculators!!
Cassie was pleased with her crown.
And momentarily with her earrings.
However she soon found out about the pain of fashion and
wanted nothing to do with the earrings!
The books were hits as always..
