Takumi loved the Red Sox backpack that he got for Christmas in 2006. He's still using it a year later.
|
And Cassie is still hugging her pink bear a year later as well. It went to school for "sharing day" just this week. |
Dolls remain popular and much to Lois's relief, they have started to appear clothed just this month!

The most used gift of 2006 has to be the ballerina princess dress. |
And here's our ballerina flying through the air. Cassie says "I like this photo because I wish I could be a ballerina flying through the stars in the Milky Way" |
Takumi getting down. "Because I like to do peace" says Takumi. |

I think this photo is from the 2007 Valentine's Day storm which cancelled all of our 2007 Chinese New Year's plans. We just had a similar storm which left us with 17 inches of snow but luckily it came just a day earlier in relation to Chinese New Year and so far we've been to all of our parties. |

The birds, especially the cardinals, continue to delight us. |
|

John visited us and was able to see the kids getting out on their skis. He was forced to make a rescue by rolling across the snow to get Cassie when she fell over when I was in the house. The snow was just too deep to walk any distance and so he had to resort to rolling across the lawn.

Here are the kids on the skis that we rented from Breadloaf for a week last year. |
This year we're using cheap skis that attach to their boots. It's just not the same and I'm sure it's much harder to ski, but I can't justify the price of real cross country skis at this point. |

Of course sledding remained very popular. Here's Takumi picking up speed on the icy crust that made for one week of great sledding. |

We actually put up our Girl's Day display in 2007!!! |
We even had a party with our friends the Skys. Luckily I have enough yukatas for everyone. |
We also had a Japanese breakfast at our Girl's Day party. |
