Happy Year of the Rat!
I think this is the kind of thing that one is supposed to do for New Year's - catch up on the things that should have been done long, long ago. I know that I've been really bad about keeping in touch over the last year or two so I hope that some of you can catch up through the website.
We are celebrating Chinese New Year. On the 7th I went to both Takumi and Cassie's classrooms and did activities. In Takumi's class we read two stories, made good luck characters to hang on the door, and performed a New Year's song and dance. In Cassie's class we ate noodle soup with chopsticks, listened to a story, did the New Year's dance and some craft projects. On Sunday we'll go to a big dinner in Burlington with other FCC (Families with Children from China) people.
