A peaceful, relaxing, truly vegetarian restaurant. All the vegetables are organically grown on their own farm, they bake their own bread, use non additive oils and you get genmai. Whilst not a macrobiotic restaurant, their philosophy about food is similar. The food is good. Main dishes are about ¥750, set courses ¥950 - ¥1480. They have beers, wines, herb teas, juices and lassis. There are very few restaurants like this in Tokyo and I wish there were more. The waitress who served me spoke reasonable English.
Directions: About 50 meters past Nataraj on the right on the 2nd floor. There's an Italian flag on the 3rd floor. See Nataraj's map.

Francesco's Note:

Basho belongs to the same people who run Nataraj, who seem to be genuinely interested in vegetarian food. Laudable, but the food at Basho is an acquired taste to say the least. I personally thought it wasn't that good. If I want to eat vegetarian, I go to Nataraj.

The Artchive has an extremely interesting selection of classic paintings (Piranesi, Turner, Escher, Constable, you name it) in big sizes. You can enlarge, reduce, download as you please.
