How to get there. See Ajio's map . From Ajio, go ahead away from the station and turn left on the second or third street. Coconuts is right after the corner.
Coconuts opened only a few weeks ago, and yesterday, June 6, 1998, I went to test it. Very small and cozy, it is staffed by a young Thai cook and a Japanese man who likes sashimi. This explains why this restaurants sells Thai food and raw fish. He imports all his fish from Ogasawara, so it's really excellent. Besides serving sashimi as god meant it to be, he also mixes it with Thai sauces with interesting results. I found that the two go very well together. So there you have it. You can have Thai food, pretty standard but very good, excellent sashimi or the two together.
January 2000: I have been many times to Coconuts, and the sashimi man is hardly ever there, so don't count on it.
