Someone here likes Mexican food. Done in their own special way it was really nice and very tasty. The restaurant has an old atmosphere and seems like it's been there a long time. They played good Latin music and it's a nice place. There were a number of foreign customers who seemed to be regulars and as it's down a quiet street at a small station this seems to be a good recommendation.

I had a very nice, good sized salad (¥800) and beef enchiladas (about ¥1000). The sauce was delicious and had many fresh ingredients in it. Along with a margarita this was enough though I wasn't very hungry. The people next to me had the Burritos combination and it looked wonderful. Next time.

Directions - come out of the exit wicket and turn right then left to reach a road that runs under the tracks. At this point there's one street between you and the tracks. There's a MacDonalds on the corner. Take this road along the tracks to the 2nd corner on the right and it's just around the corner.

Frank's comments:

Because of this review, I went to El Quixico almost right away. These are my impressions.

The evening had been doomed from the start, I think. The place is old and decorated hippie-style with prodigal strokes of multicolored paint, most of it fading. I had to repeat every single order I made to the waitress so that I finally snapped and I asked her if she by any chance spoke Japanese. When at last we got our Guacamole with corn chips, my beef burrito combo, and my girlfriend fajitas, the first was mediocre, the second worse, the third trash. Plus, one should not let himself be fooled by names: they can call them Fajitas, burritos or whatever they want, the stuff surely isnt' Mexican and it isn't Tex/Mex either. The aftertaste of tomato was so strong I had to wash it away with an ice-cream bought at a convenience store. Without question the worse Mexican restaurant I have tried in this country.
