I dined at Khumbila for the first time perhaps in 1997. Although it's the oldest Nepalese restaurant in town, physically it's new and rather stylish, but in a rather cold way, It's also inconvenient, because it has three floors, and you might be sent to the third. Service was good and food unimpressive, even though they did have some dishes I have never seen elsewhere. It was also a bit overpriced. Altogether, a restaurant for the eye, rather than the palate. The lady I was with, who incidentally reviews restaurants for a Tokyo newspaper, remembers absolutely nothing about Khumbila ... Hardly a memorable restaurant, as you can see. To be forgotten. If you really want to eat Napalese in Ebisu, a good alternative would be Saultee Mode.
