I was in doubt over whether I should include New Delhi in my site, and for reasons that have nothing to do with its food. If you have ever been to the area along the Kanda river in Edogawabashi, you will know how ugly it is, possibly the most unattractive landscape in Tokyo. But then I thought, what the fuck, why not? Somebody could use the information. One would not suspect that there is life even in a desert like that.
Tiny New Delhi, in keeping with the general atmosphere of the neighborhood, is a cheapie. A full meal will set you back just a couple thousand yen, but the food is good, if fairly standard and unoriginal. I had an excellent channa masala with garlic naan and shish kebab, and my friend chicken masala with yellow rice. If you ever decide, as I did, to go to the Printing Museum near there, stopping here for a bite wouldn't be a bad idea.
