Hi Frank, just wanted to let you know that the best Greek food joint in town is still alive and kicking on Honmoku dori (coming from Motomachi tunnel, 1 mile on the left side, large dark blue neon sign) and is probably even better then ever. It's still called SPARTA, the chef is from the previous place and he even added a decent Greek wine offering. Sayonara friends, Boz.

A reader in Yokohama also sends comments, but apparently, like me, he is unaware of the fact that the restaurant moved.

Sparta: Sparta used to be a delightful restaurant and great for company parties where your company tends to carry on a bit. I first went there over a decade ago. I stopped going there about four or five years after a couple of disappointments and feta cheese that had the consistency of tofu. By the last time I had gone there, Sparta had been through at least two changes in management. There's also a Mikonos Greek restaurant about 10 minutes from Yamate station, but it was nothing special the one or two times I went.
