As you probably already know, I am very fond of Thai food, and consider it to be one of the best in the world. One of the consequences of the comparative proximity of the country and of the great availability of excellent Thai cooks is the extremely uniform quality level of Thai restaurants in Tokyo. I have never found a bad one, and most are excellent. It seems therefore rather pointless to review them in great detail, and as a matter of fact I as of late tend to just announce to the world their existence somewhere in town.
In Tokyo Thai's case, I will just mention that it's a simple and homely restaurant in a solitary spot away from the crowds of Okubo, but serves excellent food. Customers are mostly people living in the neighborhood and the place is rarely crowded, and excellent therefore for a quiet meal.
The menu isn't particularly original, although it does contain some surprises: the chicken feet soup, for example, turned out to be the best dish we ordered. I know it doesn't sound too appetizing, but give it a try, and you will like it.
Prices are very reasonable, and with a couple of beers you shouldn't have to spend more than three thousand yen.
