C K Gaur
With a Master's degree in Political Science and Bachelor Degrees in Economics and Law with wide ranging management experience of more than 25 years, I joined OECF in March 1989. It was another landmark of my professional career, a major part of which has been with international development institutions (USAID 11 years) and a German Company (12 years). When I joined OECF, there was no specific training programme for the newly recruited local professionals. I, therefore, became my own 'Trainer'. My background and experience of working with USAID came handy in this regard.
About my hobbies: I am very much interested in stage acting. However, not much time is available to practice this hobby. Other areas of interest and to which I devote my available time are - Yoga, attending religious discourses, social work particularly the education of underprivileged children, time permitting watching TV specially sports channel and Indian/foreign serials with social themes. And of course playing with my grandson and helping my wife in maintaining our small garden.
E Natarajan
I have been working with OECF since April 1978, the year in which OECF New Delhi Office was established. My first boss was Professor Yasutami Shimomura of Saitama University, Japan.
I am leading a reasonably comfortable life because of my service with OECF. Wherever I go for my official duties, I get respect and status because of my organisation "OECF".
I believe my prosperity is totally relied upon the prospects of OECF activities in India. I don't believe in excuses but believe in work to be done. I also neglect the perverse attitude of any person in my office in order to maintain self-respect and dignity.

50th Independence Day Office Luncheon (August 14, 1997)
To celebrate India's 50th Independence Day (August 15, 1997), we had an office luncheon on August 14, where every staff member brought his or her home made dish.
This picture looks a little bit odd. Sorry. After the preparation, we were too busy in eating and forgot to take photos of ourselves. (BTW, the fourth dish from the bottom is Japanese O-Sekihan cooked by Mr Hara).

After enjoying the delicious food, we had a cake-cutting ceremony where Mr Gaur and Mr Natarajan, who happened to have been born before India's Independence, were asked to cut the cakes. They solemnly completed their job as if they were performing an important ritual.
