Graduated from the Budapest University of Economics. Economist specialized in foreign economic connections. Stationed in Sri Lanka (Head of Commercial Counsellor`s Office, 1973-78), Nigeria (Commercial Counsellor of the Hungarian Embassy, 1983-86), Toronto Canada (Trade Consul of the Hungarian Embassy 1986-88) and Chicago USA (Chief Trade Commissioner of the Hungarian Embassy, 1994-98). Deputy Director General of the Ministry of International Economic Relations supervising all non European developed countries between 1992 and 94. Has been appointed as Chief Trade Representative to Japan in 1998. Has been decorated several times for outstanding results in international trade.
