The Christina
Noble Childrens' Foundation was established in
1991 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is an international partnership of
people dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term
medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational
training, job placement and the protection of children at risk of economic
and sexual exploitation. CNCF is also currently expanding operations, similar
to those in Vietnam, to Mongolia.
Christina Noble is visiting Tokyo on 20 September to 5 October to raise
funds for her activities in Vietnam and elsewhere, and will be a guest
of honour at the INJ Ball on 3rd October.
If you are interested in meeting Christina please come along to a special
fund-raising party at Paddy Foley's on Saturday 27th September 1997.
Live music, house prizes, plentiful drinks and good friends 7 p.m. till
late. Admission ¥2000, includes one free drink. (Cover charge will
be donated to the CNCF.) Promises as always to be a great night!
Other fund-raising events will take place after Christina returns to Vietnam.
11th October: Seisen International School Bazaar. CNCF will have
a booth at this event a day of food and great prices on all kinds of items.
Great Christmas shopping!
1st November: Celtic
Festival. A CNCF booth will be selling T-shirts,
Xmas cards, crafts and baked goods. An event not to be missed!
The CNCF is always looking for travellers to Vietnam who are willing to
take along extra luggage containing donated products and clothing to the
Foundation in order to cut down on shipping costs, so that donated funds
go directly to the projects themselves.
For further information on CNCF activities please go to the Foundation's
home page, and for more details on fund-raising events in Japan please
