Being in Tokyo is Good, Out of Tokyo is Best
Nagano Over
the late spring "Golden Week" holidays, I spent 4 days in the
Japanese Alps where the Winter Olympics were held. Great roads, mountains,
and lots of fun riding.
4-days, 1800 kilometers, and some incredible memories. I may do this one
again later this summer.
The Fukushima Area
Autumn touring by Lake Inawashiro, Bandai, and a return to Tokyo via Nikko.
3 riding days, lots of km, and some very cold fingers. Great pics of the
area. (More coming soon)

Riding in Japan
For all it's idiosyncracies like no tandem (pillion) riding on the highways,
Japan is a great place for riding, and no, we're not talking about bicycles.
Check out some of the places that are most memorable, if not for the ride
itself, then for the stops along the way. Here are some of the highlights
of more recent rides.
Riding Links
Don't take my word for it. Japan has a lot of riding clubs, information
sites, and the like. Here are some of the ones that I've found very useful
in planning excursions, buying / selling / registering bikes, and just
being a bike-owner.
