|Here is just one song lesson, which I made in 1983 while I was teaching at a high school in Germany.
First download each file to your computer and print out the lessons. Read the lyrics while listening to the song. (The MP3 file is 5.45MB, so it might take some time to download). Then try the two exercises.
* You must have Microsoft Word installed on your computer to view the lesson (or else the free OpenOffice or some other software that reads MS Word files). The lyrics and MP3 file are (C) copyright to Michael Jackson. You may only download the MP3 file for the purpose of this lesson.
Today, Michael Jackson is best known for being a weirdo, but in 1983, he was the biggest pop phenomenon, and the kids at my school could not stop dancing. The album "Thriller" is still the best-selling music album of all time, having sold over 51 million copies. Seven of its nine songs became top-10 hits.
I especially like the title track, "Thriller," because it not only teaches kids how to dance, but also explains why shy kids must dance - because they will die if they don't.
