Mamé (, little bean) was the temporarily name for the little one we were waiting for. Here are the pictures we have, starting (almost) at the beginning... Weeks and months may not match as the way of counting pregnancy months is different in Japan: the Japanese count weeks as we do, but months in the lunar calendar months (28 days per month).

And so, the total pregnancy time is ... 10 months and 10 days!

At 6 weeks (Jan 18th, 1999), he is 2.6 millimeters long.

At 8 weeks (Jan 30th, 1999), he is 13 millimeters long.

At 11 weeks (Feb 22nd, 1999), he is 4 centimeters long.

At 22 weeks (May 11th, 1999), he is 15 centimeters long.

At 31 weeks (July 12th, 1999), he weighs 2Kg.
