In Real Life ...

I am a computer programmer working in Tokyo with a financial software vender, Midas-Kapiti International KK.. I have lived in Tokyo for almost five years now, and a (mostly) enjoy it.

I play the guitar, keyboards and bass and write my own music, although recently I have not been all that prolific. I used to play in a band in Scotland called the Swinging De Carlos. What do you mean that you've never heard of us?! We were famous in the west end of Glasgow! The guy that used to sing with us (Big Niv) is now fronting a band called Wild Monkey and has brought out their first CD single Intensive Care and released their CD album (Kamikaze Jungle).

I'm married to a lovely Japanese girl called Saori (Sally to all non-Japanese speakers) in May '97 and she's already provided me with a bouncing baby boy, Sean. I play around with writing shareware / free utilities, usually to help me out at work, for example, I'm currently writing a programmer's editor that does all the things that I want it to do rather than what somebody else thinks I want it to do.
