Fallon start cleaning up in Japan

Barely two months after opening, Fallon Tokyo have won their first new client. Dyson Ltd., the Japan branch of the UK home electronics company best known for its revolutionary Cyclone Vacuum cleaner has appointed Fallon Japan as their agency of record.

Fallon won the account following a two month review that involved six agencies. According to unconfirmed sources, other agencies reviewed included TBWA; Beacon; Grey; Asatsu-DK; Dentsu, Young & Rubicam; and Tugboat.

Dyson worked with Dentsu, Young & Rubicam shortly after entering Japan three years ago, but has been less active as an advertiser recently.

"We were looking for a strategic & marketing communications partner to help us achieve some very significant objectives in Japan over the coming years. We set very high standards for our staff and products and have very high expectations for our marketing partners. We believe Fallon Tokyo can meet our strategic and marketing expectations." said Mr. Yasuhisa Iida, Managing Director of Dyson in Japan.

"Dyson is known for their incredibly well-engineered and beautifully designed products. They are ready to make a serious effort in Japan and we are delighted to be their advertising partner." said Phil Rubel, Managing Director of Fallon Tokyo. "Dyson does not take the typical approach to developing products. Fallon strives to do the same when it comes to creatively-driven marketing strategies and communications."
