Personal Information
He was born to father, Dr. Jozsef Kiss retired veterinarian and mother, Gabriella Klatsmanyi in Budapest, Hungary on 2nd of January, 1943.
Married Ilona Szekely an architect-Japanese language teacher in 1969. Daughter, Reka Japanese interpreter. Son, Gergely college student studying IT.
After staying eleven years in Japan they have been living in Budapest since the summer of 1998.
Speaks English, working level of Japanese and some German.
Computer hobbyist. Fan of gardening, collecting cacti and sumo. He likes sailing and skiing.
The Kiss family is one the few Hungarian families where all members are speaking Japanese.

This business consulting and trading company was established in 1998 and has been involved in the 1.) promotion of Hungarian-Japanese trade and investment, 2.) Internet broadcaster of Hungarian economic news and statistics for Japanese business community, 3.) Japanese language teaching and distribution of teaching materials.

Last position held as Chief Trade Representative of ITD the Investment and Trade Development Agency. Until mid 1997 he was the Commercial Counsellor appointed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Person in charge for all high level economic missions visiting both Hungary and Japan. His main activities covered the development and promotion of bilateral trade, Japanese investments into Hungary and consulting service to solve trade policy and business problems. Until the opening of the Hungarian National Tourist Office in April, 1998 his office was responsible for promotion of tourism as well. Organizer of promotional events, investment seminars with JOI, JETRO, Keidanren, MITI, Rotobo and many prefectural Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Coordinator of Hungarian participation at exhibitions and trade fairs in Japan. Editor and creator of the internet home page bringing daily economic news and statistics for the Japanese business community. The Japanese Language NEWSLETTER has been edited by this office since 1991.

Community work
Vice President of the International Computer Association in Japan in 1985/86. Founding member of the Rotary Club Budapest the first chartered club in Eastern Europe after the war. He was Treasurer in 1990 and Youth Officer in 1991/92.
Commitment
He has been committed both to improve economic relations and to help cultural and student exchange between Hungary and Japan since long. For the last several years he has been promoting the idea to lay down the basic stones of the Asian Concept of the Hungarian Government in order to have a more balanced international position.
