Mr. Sompong Sarasap has been painting motif such as rice, trees, plants, leaves, and flowers in the surrealistic manner.  His painting’s theme has been the relationship between self and the outer world.  His works convey his reflective thought how people can live locally in the global trend toward homogeneous culture.  In order to express it, he has often composed poems with the paintings.
