Mr. Surasit Saokong has been painting the inside and outside of the northern Thai style temples realistically by western rules of perspective with a single theme, 'SERENITY'. The temples in Surasit's paintings are his idealized space that he constructed imaginarily. The elements in his works such as Buddha images, Buddhism objects, and parts of temples are refined images of real ones in northern Thailand. Light in his works has a central role and is the symbol of wisdom lighting darkness of ignorance.
