Welcome to this major new release of OctaMED for the Amiga: the Soundstudio!

We're sure you'll find that the number and size of the new features in this
version warrant the new name. The new playing mode - Mix - is unique in its
versatility, and extends the number of possible channels to 64. The
notation editor has been completely overhauled and is better than ever. Many
other new features have been added and others enhanced to take Amiga music
sequencing to new heights.

The remainder of this manual will guide you through all these new functions
and describe changes to older functions. Also, the on-line help guide has
been completely rewritten for the Soundstudio; why not press Help and try
it out? Comments are very welcome! A brief list of new Soundstudio features is
available through the new guide: Click on the long box at the top of the
contents page for more details.
