Restaurant Furi
Since it's located just outside the JR station, Furi is the first place many people eat when coming to Fujino, and is well known to just about everyone here as one of the two most common hang-outs and venues for local parties. Furi serves a wide variety of Japanese and "Western-style" dishes typical of this kind of restaurant; the food is good, simple fare, with few frills. In the summer, their draft beer is welcome. They also display some local artists' wares and generally promote Fujino information. The employees are friendly and helpful.
Although the "hole-in-the-wall" entrance leads to a single tiny room with a couple of tables and a counter, the hallway through the sliding door in back leads to several larger rooms which are also open, and where parties of up to 30 people or so can be held. They even have a basement karaoke room. To return to your previous location, use your browser's "BACK" button, or click your heels together three times while saying, "there's no place like home" . . .
