The Workshop for Art has a small, independently operated restaurant, Gruppo located in the lodging wing. The restaurant serves Japanese style udon noodles as well as a variety of other Asian and Western dishes. Residents in the lodging facilities may have evening meals delivered to their room if desired. One small complaint that has been raised about the management of the Workshop has to do with the fact that the restaurant is frequently not open during the evening hours when large concerts are held at Creation Hall. As a result, concert guests have no convenient place to eat and drink before and after events. Since the restaurant is not publically supported, this is likely the result of a business calculation, but with so few dining places available in Fujino, one wishes something could be done to keep the restaurant open longer in the evening, at least on those special nights.
