ITOH TAKIO OUTDOOR CONCERT in FUJINO, HOME OF TREES, WATER, and ART September 7, 2002 (Saturday) Now's your chance to get into the dance scene that's been taking Japan by storm. YOSAKOI / SORAN dancing, based on traditional forms of dance but set to modern, high-octane sensitivities, started against the background music of Itoh Takio's jazzed-up and supercharged min'yô (Japanese folk song) rhythms. Until now, though, there's been almost no chance to experience them live together. On September 7, Itoh is bring his trademark "Takio Band" to the town of Fujino where they'll perform "on the green" at Fujino's Workshop for Art, and they'll be accompanied there by YOSAKOI / SORAN dancing groups from around the Kantô region, letting visitors get into the Takio Spirit in a remarkable way.
