The Izakaya Yamasaki Yamasaki Yamasaki

I almost included the Yamasaki in the "dining" section, since they offer the equivalent of regular food, and families are occasionally seen inside as well, but on reflection, that just shows how few dining choices we have in Fujino. They really belong here in the "nightlife" section. Yamasaki is an izakaya, somewhat similar to a pub or tavern, but they also serve light meals and have rooms for parties. Located just a minute's walk from Green Gables, the Yamasaki is one of the most popular spots in Fujino, judging from the full state of their parking lot (and the street in front), which are both crowded with cars on the weekends. The inside decor is based on traditional Japanese "farmhouse" style, with bare beams decorated with oiled paper parasols and a variety of other implements and motifs taken from traditional Japanese culture. Yamasaki has party rooms (tatami floors) in back with capacities up to 100 people, and provided with the necessary karaoke setups.
