Binoculars!

Romero is cool. Romero has balls. (Tell you something you don't know, right?) Even so, why is he cool? Well, for one, only he could be so slick as to revive the ancient and altogether dead film technique of taking a cut piece of paper, taping it to the camera lens and filming through it to achieve the illusion of looking through binoculars. I mean, people stopped doing this because it doesn't even look like this when you look through binoculars. Yet, despite having no connection with reality, people can still accept the concept, and Romero is cool enough to know it. Hell, not only did Romero do it once, but he did it twice in the film!

This is just plain and simple cool at its ballsiest.
