Burn baby, burn!

What's this you ask? Well, it is something I discovered in the German trailer that was included on the Elite Video laser disc box set of Dawn of the Dead (it can also be found in the 'goodies' tape on the Elite/Anchor Bay videocassette). The shot is from the sequence when 'the gang' is traveling over the picturesque Pennsylvania hills before arriving at the abandoned airport. What makes this frame cool is that it's the only time I've ever seen this shot. It's not in any versions that I know of, not the American, Director's, or Argento cuts. Finding new shots from DOTD after all this time is not only way-cool, it goes to show that all has not been experienced in regards to this film. There must be more footage somewhere just waiting to be unearthed. At least we can hope.
