Asian Health Institute ECO #325402 (AHI)

Asian Health Center was founded by Dr. Kawahara, a Japanese Christian doctor who trained in the US, The center in its inception was his dream to help persons in third world countries to develop strong community health programs using their own resources. With some help from the Presbyterian Church, he constructed a Center for Training Developing World Community Leaders and Health personnel on donated land and connected to it he built with his own private funds an associated hospital. The Center's ministry is primarily community health development in Asia and the Pacific. Courses are held both in Japan and on location in under-developed areas.
