Images of Japan, especially Japanese nature, will be on these pages, so that wherever you live you can join me in the appreciation of Japanese beauty.

This guy's from Canada, but he can play the local Tsugaru shamisen pretty well. At least he was doing it well enough to raise some money from people in Hirosaki at the annual cherry blossom festival.

Here's the Tokyo Tower, sort of a Japanese knockoff of Paris's Eiffel Tower. Here's a different perspective. From this tower you can see the whole of Tokyo on a clear day. This wasn't a clear day, but you can see a lot of Tokyo anyway. Here's another shot.

This guy guards a temple in Kyoto. I guess you wouldn't want to mess with a Kyoto temple.

Mt. Iwaki 「岩木山」 is the mountain outside of Hirosaki. It's beautiful all year round, but I think it's especially beautiful in fall and spring.

The world-famous Japanese cherry blossoms. Hirosaki is especially famous for them.

The town of Kakunodate, in Akita Prefecture, is famous for its gardens and especially its cherry blossoms.  This is a park along the river near the center of town.

The slopes of Chokaisan (bird-sea-mountain in Japanese) on the southern border of Akita Prefecture.

Sunset over Lake Tazawa, from the high plateau.

An onsen, or hotspring, on the border of Akita and Iwate prefecture.

Some kind of a shrine in the middle of the above onsen. You figure it out.

Take me home!
