"I joined the Air Force in 1981 and was
stationed in Denver CO, Altus OK, and Ramstein Germany. Got married to John Stanko in '82
while in Oklahoma. I was getting
promoted rapidly in the service but then I got pregnant and decided to leave
the Air Force. We moved back to
Ohio where I was a reimbursement specialist for a medical billing & physician
staffing company for about 12 yrs.
Managed care, HMOs, and bureaucracy soured my taste for that type of
work. In '96 we moved to
Northern California near my parents & oldest brother (who owns a B&B www.lakeorovillebedandbreakfast.com
). Shortly after our move, John
& I divorced. I was working
as administrative assistant to the GM at an Indian casino. I have a wonderful, pretty, and nerdy daughter
(also named Mary!), 22 yrs, who is studying at Florida State to become a
chemical engineer. I've been working with my brother Ron doing
Internet sales (pool domes, carports, awnings, etc.) for the last 6 years and
have just loved it - we talk to people all over the world, BUT! he's sold the
company so I may be looking for work elsewhere if the new owners aren't smart
enough to keep me on. A month's
vacation does sound nice...
Thinking about moving to Oregon or Idaho, somewhere less expensive but
with lots of room to breathe. I
love the country life and have become something of a "mountain
woman"! I currently share
my mobile home on 20 acres in the foothills with my good friend Richard, a
big dog (Genghis), and 4 cats. If anyone knows where Patti Ryant-Babal or
Darlene Bolton-Stamper are, please tell them I'd love to hear from
them." (Info as of March 2007)

1980 Yearbook After 5 years as the owner of a video store in
Berea, Steve has been playing in the radio business for the last 18
years. Currently, he is the
Production Director at an AM radio station. The radio station was
bought a year ago and has added a second station to its Cleveland group.
He has also been a part-time employee for the last 13 years for
Cleveland Public Radio. He is single and lives in Berea. (Info as

(C) Dad on the left
(R) Xmas elf visits Mom Ms.
Erika (Dunkel) Henry ÒI
graduated from BW in '84, and since I didn't use college as an excuse to get
out of town, I went to work as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines in
Atlanta. On days off, I
volunteered for an adoption agency bringing foreign babies to their adoptive
families in the US. I
went on to teach at CCC, sell orthopedics, and work in public relations for
Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
Restless sitting in an office, I returned to flying, this time with
Continental Airlines in Cleveland.
After 7 years of traveling the world, I quit to become a stay-home
mom. Recently
divorced after 19 years of marriage, I have one wonderful 13 yr. old
daughter, Rayna, who lives with me in Broadview Hts. She is an 8th grader, who
plays violin, writes and illustrates books, and loves skiing and softball. I
started my own advertising business 12 years ago, and enjoy being my own
boss. For fun, I ride horses,
ski (even though that NY trip w/ Lynelle, Suzy and the boys almost ruined
me!) and run trails in the Metroparks.Ó (Info as of Jan. 2009)

New Ad for Pepsodent? Mr.
Scott Durham ÒI
still live in Bay Village (love it, it reminds me of Berea) with my wife and
two kids. We enjoy running from soccer games to swim meets (boring) to b-ball
games and whatever else the kids can think up to keep us running. Life is
good. I
run my own Commercial Print/Direct Marketing firm (HKM Direct Market
Communications) along with my brother Rob (class of 76) who drives me nuts! After
college, I got into boating and eventually joined the Cleveland Yachting Club
in 1991. After years of involvement and grunge work, I'm happy to report
that I was elected Commodore (President) of The Cleveland Yachting Club. I
feel this is quite an accomplishment being the only lake I was ever on was
Wallace Lake and I wasn't there to boat! Anyways, I
wish everyone the best and hope that you are all well.Ó (Updated Jan. 2009)

2008 Mr. Brian Elko "I
still reside in the vicinity of Brookpark and ran for Council
of Ward 3 in Brookpark in 2001, only lost by 50 votes, but continue to love politics. I have a daughter (Christie 24) and 2
grandchildren. I also have a
step-daughter (Amanda 24) who also has 2 children. I also have a step-son (Ryan 20). I have worked in Parma for 25 years
and am very active in the Teamsters Union. I am very happily married to a beautiful woman whom I love
to travel with and enjoy my spare time with." (Info as of April 2007)
(L) With his wife (C) A
bride
(R) "Anyplace
is Paradise (When I'm with You)" Ms. Jill Elliott ÒThough
I didn't graduate with my class, I am at heart a member of the class of
1980. My priorities were
definitely out of order and education wasn't even on my list back then. For most of my life, I've felt like
an outcast because I didn't finish school, and only recently have decided
that this one failure should not define my relationship with my peers.

Old
New It was wonderful seeing so many people on this
website that I used to talk with, but who eventually went their separate ways
as we got older. I have 4
kids. Bryan is 26 and
married. He graduated from Berea
High in 2001. Holly is 20 and
lives on her own with my wonderful 2-yr.-old grandson. She also graduated in 2007 from Berea. I have twin sons, Robert and David,
who are freshmen at Berea. I
moved from Brook Park to Berea when I met the man of my dreams. Sounds sappy, but itÕs true. I still am best friends with Debi
Woodards. We work together and
have remained best friends for 42 yrs. now. Debi still lives in this area with her husband and 2 sons. It was a great loss to us when Karoline (Miller)
Whittington passed away. We
attended her funeral together as we all hung around together. My email addresses are: Babygirl751@aol.com or lilboo297@yahoo.com. I would love to hear from people that
we all hung around with. (Info as of April 2009)
1980 Yearbook Mr. W. Fletcher He lives on Lake Norman, outside of Charlotte, N.C. with his wife of 18 years and a son
(15) and daughter (12). He is a
Regional Manager for Diebold after having been in the banking business for 11
years and the ATM business for 10 years. (Info as of March 2005)
1980 Yearbook Mr.
Jim Fudale "After
graduation from Berea High, I went to Cuyahoga Community College for 2 years
and then on to Kent State University where I earned a teaching degree. I returned to Kent State for my
Masters Degree now have a 24 semester hours past my MA. I have been a elementary special
education teacher for the past 22 years having taught in the Berea City
schools since 1988 and at Big Creek Elementary (the old Middleburg Junior
High) since 1990. In 1990 I
married Anita and we have two children:
Jimmy (age 12) and Teresa (age 10). We have lived in Olmsted Township, Avon and currently live
in Columbia Station, Ohio (in the country). Our family is still involved in music as my brother Jeff
is now the head band director at Berea High School. I work with the band each fall and still play in the Berea
Community Band each summer in the summer concert series at the Gazebo in
Berea. Our family does a great
deal of camping each year with 5th Wheel (that's where we were when the last
reunion was held... sorry)" (Info as of April 2007)
