1980 Yearbook (click
on his name to send him e-mail) Mr.
Brown (physics) taught at BHS until the early 1990s. Now he teaches physics at a Catholic
high school. He is still
teaching part time, but does just 2 classes each morning. Doing that is better than banker's
hours as he is in at 8, out at noon.
He had planned to have this year be his last, but decided to do one
more. Since
the 1980's, two boys have been born and have grown up. The oldest (Ken) graduated from Rhode
Island School of Design in 2004, is an artist, and does video games for
Insomniac (Playstation 3) in LA.
The second (Jon) just graduated from college (Olivet U., near Chicago)
and works near Chicago as a photographer. He
and his wife (Barb) just bought a "new" house in Oberlin about a
mile from the college and are in the process of getting it ready to move in. He
says, ÒI still have good memories of BHS.Ó He also adds that ÒI still use the cartoons [Steve Dole}
drew of me and physics stuff. I now use a SmartBoard all the time and
pictures and stuff like what Steve had drawn are easy to insert into class
presentation. Students love
them.Ó (Info. as of June 2008)
