Famous as one of the three "world's best teas" (along with Darjeeling & Uva), Keemun black tea became instantly famous when it won the gold medal at the 1915 Panama international exhibition.
M&P's Keemun is of Hao Ya B grade, which represents the top 5% of the crop, and comes mainly from the Qi Hong estate. The tea has a beautiful, slender, hand-finished leaf, tightly curled, with plenty of silver tips. The flavour is winey, and complex, with layers of orchid and rose, and a slight smokiness. Best with milk, which will enhance the depth of the drinking experience, this tea is excellent for breakfast, afternoon tea, or after dinner.
