Kenilworth is one of the most famous estates in Sri Lanka, and it is situated in the Dimbula region, towards the west of the island. Two factors contribute to its famous "oaky" flavour and rich copper colour--the height at which it is grown (mid/high-grown, at around 3,500 feet), and the influence of the winds and rainfall on the soil. M&P's Kenilworth estate Dimbula is picked during the dry season (January & February) which traditionally produces the finest teas.
Kenliworth is best enjoyed with a little cold milk, and is suitable and refreshing at any time of day. Try it at breakfast time, or in the afternoon with cake.
This is an "orthodox tea", meaning that the leaves remain in relatively large pieces--B.O.P. means "Broken Orange Pekoe", the most sought-after grade of Ceylon teas. M & P's Ceylon BOP is carefully selected to be a well-balanced tea, appropriate at any time of day or occasion.
