Kojima KE009s suffered from the tyres
		The KE009 driven by Kazuyoshi Hoshino was rumoured to be using a modified KE008 monocoque, but Mr. Sugimoto who was a mechanic at the time has totally denied this rumour by saying . "I don't think that is true. The wheel base is different as well".
		This KE009, driven by Noritake Takahara disappeared with an accident that occurred just after the start of the race. A somewhat lonely looking Takahara stood at the track side with his helmet hanging from his hand.
