Masako Miyazaki took a degree in Fine Arts at Tokyo University before joining the Haiyu-za Theatre Company.
She made her directing debut with a production of "ERICA".
In 1991, she was awarded a scholarship by the Japanese Government and studied in the U.K. for two years at the National Theatre and The Royal Shakespeare Company as well as assisting Alan Aykbourn.
Back in Japan she assisted Robert LePage on "TEMPEST", "MACBETH" and 'OPERA TEMPEST".
Masako has also worked with Ron Daniels on "HAMLET" and Gerald Murphy on "AS YOU LIKE IT".
In 1994 she took over as Director of "THE BROTHERS KARAZAMOV" on the death of Koreya Senda.
In 1995 she directed Alan Aykbourn's musical "DREAMS FROM A SUMMERHOUSE".
At present Masako is directing a production of Verdi's "MACBETH".
Masako has made her main stage debut at the Haiyu-za Theatre directing "Romeo And Juliet" in January.
