This is what I look like late at night sitting on front of my Mac (i.e, haggard)
My real name is Tim - not Timbo, and I'm from Australia. To be more precise, Melbourne. Melbourne is Australia's second largest city and the capital of Victoria(state). Why not check out the weather in Melbourne today, but remember the seasons are the opposite in the southern hemisphere, to those of the northern.
In 1988 I graduated with an honours degree in Electrical (and Electronic) Engineering from the University of Melbourne ("Melbourne Uni" to those in the know:)
Soon after I joined Honeywell Ltd. Australia (HLA), working as a Project Engineer in what was then called the Industrial Automation Systems Division (IASD), but now it is called the Industrial Automation and Controls Division (IACD).
After a couple of years I was given the chance to come to Japan and work with the Japanese affilate Yamatake-Honeywell. I work in the Engineering and Marketing Department for the newly created Factory Automation Systems Division (FASD). I am currently developing Windoze software which interfaces to the FA controllers (computers) my colleagues are developing.
I live in Sagamihara-city (Kanagawa-prefecture), about 50mins out from Shinjuku (downtown Tokyo) on the Odakyu-line. One of these days I'll draw a map, but I'm one stop from Sagami-ohno (in the Odawara direction) on the Odakyu map.
For those of you who keep asking me 'Does it snow in Australia?', please check out this link Cyber Ski.
